On the Road...

It has been decided that Syblyngs Bob, Madison and Joe will be leaving in the morning to Knoxville. It's a long story, but I am sure this is for the best. We'll be traveling with a group of guests that we've had here in the commune. They're making their way to Florida for some recreation and to protest at a military-industrio complex. Hopefully we'll be able to make some posts on our way down to Tennessee. But thanks to the generosity of that wonderful parish Spirit of Vatican 2 you will be able to hear our words of wisdom there. So join us at the Spirit of Vatican 2 Parish.

I've forgotten to mention....

We'll be traveling south to Knoxville to visit the wonderful syblyngs of the Spirit of Vatican 2 parish. There's a possibility of beginning a new Gorebertine community there. None too soon will it be to establish the Gorebertines in Tennessee the home of St. Albert himself. And frankly after the stress of today I'm very much in need of a getaway. I've been chewing willow bark all day and still have a severe headache. There's only one thing I worry about. Will I be able to find birkenstocks? I'd hate to step in any of that chewing tobacco spit.....

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll have to make this quick. Syb Joe has been found. He's been returned by one of the local farmers. Unfortunately he noticed some of our produce offering as having come from his farm. We tried to reason with him and explain the great good we do for his soul and for Gaea with this unknown offering. But he seems to be very angry. He left in his pollution spouting deathtruck and yelled he'd be back. All who read this should make a quick prayer or even a sacrificial offering of some sort of technological deathimplement to Our Mother Gaea. I'm not sure what is going to happen, but I'm afraid the most foul and evil Technospirit may be laying plans for our doom, just as it has for the doom of Our Mother the Earth.

Updates...

We've had problems at the community getting to the internetweb. It's been very overcast and we haven't been able to store enough power. And I think the Vic-20 may have a virus. It's been acting weird and won't load my copy of Blue Max. Ohhh... forget that last part. But it looks like we've finally have the windmill operational and perhaps posting will be more frequent now.

Has anyone seen a very pale 6'5" male syblyng in an earthtone robe with birkenstocks who is having trouble walking a straight line? Syb Joe is missing and we haven't been able to find him.

Trust....

Syblyng Bob,

Syblyng Joe will be just fine. You need to trust in Gaia's healing power. Our syblyng just needs to drink more energy soup, and his humors will balance of their own accord.

Of course, maybe I need to add more seaweed....it's just so difficult to find in Wisconsin....or maybe sprouted mung???

Help for Syb Joe

Syb Joe is still suffering from nausea. We've tried reiki and realigning his chakra, but he's still walking like a spinning top. Does anyone know of an authentic shamanistic healer in the central Wisonsin area? Syb Joe would be greatful.

Peace-to-our-syblyngs-the-cows Loaf

Well! Syblyng Bob has collected some wonderful donations from our syblyngs the farmers here locally. It's so nice that we have such generous neighbors! So here's a recipe I'm going to prepare for the community, to celebrate Gaia's bounty:

1 beet, grated
1-2 sweet potatoes, grated
1-2 white potatoes, grated
1 turnip, grated
1 onion, diced
3 celery stalks, with leaves
1 lb raw peanuts

Process each item individually in a food processor. Mix all together, chill in refrigerator overnight. Form into a loaf.

WONDERFUL PRO-GAIA LITERATURE!!

I'm just delighted to see our syblyngs at the Spirit of Vatican 2 faith community creating such excellent, inclusive, Gaia-loving theater! It's so inspiring!

Good News

I found Syb Joe over the weekend. I was on one of our harvesting missions to the local farms nearby. We go and gather different produce from these farms to sustain ourselves and in reparation for our offerings of ourselves and prayers to Gaea for the eco crimes of the local farmers. The really great biblical part of our program is that we do not even tell the farmers that they are doing it so in this case the right hand really does not know what the left hand is doing. That way we can be so eucharist to each other. Anyway, while I was in an apple orchard I found Syb Joe hanging in a tree with the windmill blades. (Can I say blades, that sounds so violent?) I managed to get him down and bring our produce back to our commune. He's resting now, but seems ok other than a violent bout of nausea.

Frustration!!

I ran across this on the interwebnet today. It really, really disturbed me! Every time I start cheering up, thinking about how much progress has been made since the beginning of the Age, something like this comes up and reminds me how far we still have to go!

This pastor clearly doesn't get it---and she's a womyn! She just doesn't see the forest for our syblyngs the trees. Since all of Gaia's creation is equal, all of it has responsibilities to all the rest of it. Therefore, any construct which falsely purports to limit 2 beyngs' responsibilities to only each other must be evil.

So why is this "Rev" Hallin even getting worked up about the (obviously) patriarchal practice of "giving the bride away"? Shy should be striving to eliminate the whole oppressive practice of marriage, and affirming our Gaia-given responsibilities to ALL our syblyngs!!

Internetweb linkages

I found where we've been linked to by Quo Vadis? (Wasn't he Luke's father in Star Wars?) And while she seems to be another one of those traddies here on the internetweb, I'm sure she's a nice enough person. Although I don't know where she gets off saying we "satirize Catholic liberalism". She'll probably hear from Syb MADison about that one. Where do all these traddies come from? It's like the internetweb is a time portal to 1962 or something. Hello people!! Vatican II!!

Black October

Oh what a wretched day. Archbishop Piero Marini has been removed as the pope’s Master of Ceremonies. MC Piero as we liked to refer to him was such a breath of fresh air in the stodgy Vatican. One had to admire the liberal use he made of inculturation in the mass. I for one think we need to make even greater use of liturgical dancing. The deepest spiritual moment I had in my life was during a liturgical dance. I was doing the "Batusi" one Sunday and was in sheer rapture. It was too bad that Syblyng Joe became partially blind in one eye because of my enthusiastic gestures. But Gaea will count that small sacrifice a great blessing one day.

Blessings

Blessings upon the tens and tens of syblyngs who have found their way here. We will try to post as often as we can, but have suffered a slight setback. It's been overcast today and so the solar batteries are not quiet fully charged. We have been working on alternative power sources. The first was the hampster wheel, but Syb Madison became Syb MADison, if you know what I mean, before straightening me out on that one. Next we tried a windmill. But last night there were many high winds and while Syb Joe and I were trying to hold the windmill down it took off like a helicopter carrying Syb Joe to the heavens. We are still trying to find Syb Joe. I am sure he is ok as he had his Gaea beads with him.

What a wonderful hymn

I found on the internet web this lovely hymn sung by the Episcopal bishops during their meeting in New Orleans:

All creatures of the our God, sing praise,
with thankful hearts your voices raise
O sing praises! Alleluia!
O Brother Sun with golden beam,
O Sister Moon with silver gleam!

Dear Mother Earth, who day by day
unfolds our blessings on our way
O sing praises! Alleluia!
The flow'rs and fruit that in you grow,
let them God's glory also show!

Isn't that just such a lovely churchy hymn? I know we've made great strives in the humnology field over the last forty years, but the Episcopalians are setting such a high bar. I only wish we could trade with them and have Katharine Jefferts Schori as our pope.

Oh and another thing....

I would have posted this sooner, but the solar batteries needed to recharge (I convinced Syblyng Bob that hooking the generator up to a hamster wheel would be exploitative of our syblyngs the hamsters...).

Oh, and a fond hello to our syblyngs at the Spirit of Vatican 2 "Faith Community"!

Essene Bread

Hello everyone! In keeping with the Gorebertine Community's commitment to the rescue of Mother Earth, we honor our syblyngs the animals by not killing and eating them, and our syblyngs the plants by not desecrating the bodies they share with us for sustenance by any form of burning. So here's one of the many peaceful recipes we enjoy:

ESSENE BREAD
4c wheatberries
1/2c to 1c minced veggies (your choice)
2T seeds (caraway, poppy, sesame, etc)

Soak wheatberries 15 hours, then allow to drain for 15 hours.

Grind the wheat. Mix in the veggies. Form into a loaf shape and sprinkle top with seeds.

"Bake" in the sun or a warm (70-90 degrees) place 12 to 24 hours or until firm. You may need to turn the loaf over so that the bottom will "bake".

This makes marvellous wafers for when we are Eucharist together.

Peace to all of Gaia's creation!

This Internet Web

I never realized what an absolute mess this internet web is. I thought I had a handle on it before, but now that we've changed to the Vic20 from the Philco/telegraph key I'm amazed at what passes as Catholic spirituality on this internet web. People are actually celebrating a forced return to mumbling in Latin. No doubt typing away with their grease stained fingers after eating their Styrofoam encapsulated sandwiches of meatdeath. And probably while wearing their man made clothes too. I'm sorry... I can't type any more now. I need to go to the mud pit for a ritual cleansing in the embrace of Mother Earth.

Welcome

Welcome to the Gorbertine Community. We are a religious order dedicated to the Spirit of Vatican II and our truth of Gaea as Our Mother. We have members of all genders and gender identities, hence we have discarded outdated titles such as 'brother' and 'sister' and go by the more enlightened title of syblyng. Our main compound is located in rural Wisconsin. I cannot be more specific as we are currently providing sanctuary to members of the Gaean community sought by the government. We invite all to join us in our adoration of Mother Earth and the Spirit of the Holy Parent. I should mention that one of our main tenants is to only use what technology we must. But this blog on the Internet is to fight fire with fire. And toward that end this blog will be updated on our Vic20 that we have for that purpose. Oh... and one note. Based on advice of our legal council we must state that we have been excommunicated by the patriarchal rigid hierarchy of the Vatican. Although we do not recognize their authority to excommunicate us.
